Position: Executive Assistant / Support Staff

Time Commitment: Full Time | 35 – 40 hours/week

Purpose: To connect all people to the person, power, and purpose of Jesus by assisting the Executive Pastor in various business administrative duties of the ministry.

Job Summary: Provide financial administrative support to the Executive Pastor and congregation. Duties include general bookkeeping, financial liaison to congregants, project-based work , and general receptionist duties.


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  1. Will assist the Executive Pastor in various business administrative and financial duties
  • Will need to process weekly contributions.
  • Will need to process weekly church expenses.
  • Send first time contributors gift and letter.
  • Send quarterly contribution statements.
  • Send quarterly or annual gift and card to top 25 givers.
  • Update building pledge information and communication with contributors.
  • Assist with financial projects (i.e. financial conferences or groups).
  • Assist with interviewing requests for financial assistance.
  1. Will be responsible for support of Bridge Church’s staff and members.
  • Support staff with administrative needs, letters, emails, scheduling, etc. as needed. Will primarily support Executive Pastor.
  • Will assist members various needs as they arise (i.e. assistance requests, contribution statements, general information, etc.)
  • Responsible for general receptionist duties (i.e. answering phones, filing, various correspondance, etc.)
  1. Will assist with “special day” events and projects (i.e. Easter Outreach, Christmas Outreach, Mother’s Day, Super Sunday, etc.)
  2. Will be responsible to perform any other responsibilities deemed necessary but the Executive Pastor to fulfill the purpose and vision of this position.

Due to the nature of this role, the Executive Assistant must demonstrate a high level of trust and the ability to protect the reputation and integrity of others through strict confidentiality. The wisdom to refrain from indiscriminately sharing information is critical.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and believe and operate in the gifts of the Spirit.
  2. Must have organizational and administrative gifts.
  3. Must have excellent people skills.
  4. Must have excellent phone skills.
  5. Must be a person of character being faithful in the things of the Lord as to not hinder his/her witness and ministry.
  6. Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Must be able to multi-task.
  8. Must be an active member of Bridge giving monthly tithes as an act of worship.
  9. Must be able to manage time well and work without constant supervision.
  10. Must possess a great attitude, sense of humor, and work in harmony with the pastoral and lay staff.
  11. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
