Ministry: Support Staff

Position: Office Administrator

Time Commitment: Full-time 40 hrs/week

Reports to: Executive Pastor

Purpose: To help fulfill Bridge’s mission of connecting all people to the person, power, and purpose of Jesus through office support to the Pastoral Executive Team.

Job Summary: Will assist with congregational engagement and next steps through various workflows and strategic systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Daily:

  • Will be responsible for support of congregational and guest needs.
  • Ensure that front lobby is in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Answer all telephone calls within 2 rings in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Assist all callers with information provided by the various ministries of the church.
  • Understand event times, locations and other pertinent information.
  • Transfer and announce calls to the requested staff person promptly.
  • Greet visitors in a professional and friendly manner.  Determine the reason for their visit and assist them with their needs to control interruptions. (Do they have an appointment? Do they need financial assistance?)
  • Review and manage emails daily to ensure prompt responses and follow-up on any action items.
  • Prioritize and track Planning Center workflows & Basecamp to-do’s on the daily task list to ensure deadlines are met and responsibilities are fulfilled.
  • Receive, acknowledge, and sort incoming packages efficiently and accurately.

Weekly:

myBridge (Planning Center Online/PCO)

  • Manage and oversee process ques and be in communication with directors and team leaders. (input salvations, 1st time guest, etc)
  • Set up discipleship groups, calendars, and forms and match attendees to form.
  • Match teams in Volunteer Central with teams in Planning Center.
  • Maintain regular attenders and members group in myBridge.
  • Write weekly emails in Mail Chimp. Copy and paste to myBridge. Email from myBridge.
  • Create a weekly text to regular attenders with link to the weekly email.
  • Assimilate Sunday morning Connection Cards into Clearstream and perform the Bridge Church Assimilation System.
  • Write cards and package first-time giver packets.
  • Upload sermon notes in app.
  • Various tasks as assigned.
  • Print prayer request for Tuesday staff meetings.

Monthly:

  • Starting Point Party
  • Attend the Starting Point (Guest Assimilation).
  • Prep for Starting Point to include nametags, name list, etc.
  • Following the party, assimilate all sign ups inspinal-bound. Planning Center and input data along with process ques.
  • Take printed books to Office Max to be spinal-bound.
  • Pick up books from Office Max once they are printed.
  • Shop for snacks and supplies.

Baptisms

  • Maintain baptism sign ups in Planning Center.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the procurement of necessary supplies to ensure readiness for baptisms
  • After baptisms, send email regarding where to download photos.

Quarterly:

BIG DAY, MARRIAGE 1 NIGHT, BRIDGE THE CITY, ETC

  • Help with purchasing of materials and needed resources.
  • Check inventory & order tee shirts for First Impressions.
  • Work with and communicate with small group leaders and develop all of the groups in Planning Center along with calendars, etc.
  • Prepare and distribute thank-you gifts and necessary supplies to guest speakers.
  • Coordinate and arrange travel reservations for guest speakers and staff members as needed.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and believe and operate in the gifts of the Spirit.
  • Previous Front Office experience a plus
  • Must have organizational and administrative gifts.
  • Must have excellent people skills.
  • Must have excellent phone skills.
  • Must be a person of character being faithful in the things of the Lord as to not hinder his/her witness and ministry.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be an active member of Bridge giving monthly tithes as an act of worship.
  • Must be able to manage time well and work without constant supervision.
  • Must possess a great attitude, sense of humor, and work in harmony with the pastoral and lay staff.

Position: Communication and Marketing Coordinator

Time Commitment: Full-time

Reports to: Executive Pastor

Purpose: To help connect all people to the person, power, and purpose of Jesus through Bridge Church’s communication strategy.

Job Summary: This position will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing social media platforms, coordinating church-wide communications, and supporting marketing campaigns that engage both those inside and outside the church.

KEY OUTCOMES:

  •  Will be responsible for content creation and strategy within a team environment for all campuses.

      –  Collaborate with appropriate staff to ensure communication of events and initiatives.

      –  Attend Creative Team meetings and work with team members to ensure success of content and strategy.

  •  Will be responsible for managing social media accounts.

      –  Will need to create content that promotes engagement and community building.

      –  Monitor online engagement, respond to comments and messages, and cultivate

an online community.

      –  Develop and execute all social media advertising campaigns to promote

services, events, conferences, and other activities.

  •  Will be responsible for internal communication.

     –  Will attend Creative Meetings, Staff Meetings, All Campus Meetings, as well as other meetings deemed necessary for this position.
–  Record and post “meeting recap” notes for Creative and All Campus Staff Meeting (once a month).

     –  Will be responsible to write and schedule all text and emails sent to congregants.
– Will work with appropriate software for time-released communication.

  •  Will be responsible for scheduling timelines and deadlines for communication releases.

     – Will need to set and communicate due dates to appropriate persons to ensure

schedules are met.

     – Example: Filming and Editing.

  •  Will evaluate communication effectiveness through analytics and reporting.

–  Will need to use metrics and feedback to form future strategies.

–  Will need to use analytic tools (Google Analytics, social media insights) to

evaluate audience engagement and make data-informed decisions.

  •  Will serve as a Communication Liaison between Campus Pastors.

–  Will communicate weekly with Campus Pastors regarding weekly “service elements” (i.e. videos, changes in format, schedule, or events).

–  Will need to look 90, 60, 30 days ahead with Campus Pastors timeline.

Reports to: Children’s Pastor

Purpose: To help fulfill Bridge’s mission of connecting all people to the person, power, and purpose of Jesus.

Job Summary: Will assist with providing admin support to the NXTGen Pastors through various work assignments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY:

Weekly

  • Reset and spot clean classrooms from Sunday (Nursery-Elementary)
  • Enter First time guests into Planning Center and Clearstream
  • Fill out first-time guest postcards and drop off at post office
  • (When necessary, purchase more postcard stamps and postcards)
  • Fill out “Sorry We Missed You” postcards
  • Collect role sheets and put on the Children’s Pastor’s desk
  • Collect “Notes To Pastor Cathy” and put on the Children’s Pastor’s desk
  • Count offerings and give to Front Desk Admin
  • Friday: Prep Elementary classrooms with Sunday service supplies
  • Friday: Check all classrooms to ensure the spaces are clean, clutter-free, and ready for Sunday.
  • Friday: Wipe down NexGen lobby desk and iPads and their holders.
  • Friday: All clipboards ready for check-in
  • Make sure all classrooms are stocked with necessary supplies
  • Anything else that is needed to support Bridge Kids with administrative tasks or Sunday morning

Monthly

  • Prep Elementary curriculum for VB, GB, and NC.
  • Help take down décor and decorate spaces for new monthly theme

Sunday Service

  • Set-Up
  • Service assistance where necessary
  • Support Bridge Kids Wins: Safety, Connection, and Fun
  • End of service tear down

Big Events

  • Support Bridge Kids Big events: Adventure Camp, Easter, Christmas, Big Days

STUDENT MINISTRY

  • Organize as necessary
  • Enter Sunday visitors into Planning Center and Clearstream
  • Type and schedule Wednesday text with Youth Pastor
  • Prep for Wednesday YTH service (when necessary)
  • Enter Wednesday visitors into Planning Center and Clearstream
  • Enter YTH attendance from Sunday/Wednesday
  • Add first-time guests/who brought them to spreadsheet for quarterly prize
  • Reconcile cash box from snack shop
  • Make sure all YTH first/second-time guests postcards are written
  • Drop postcards at post office
  • Make sure snack shop is stocked/place order if necessary.
  • Anything else the Youth Pastor may need before Sunday
